Specialist Fingerprint Brush

A high quality, dome headed, handmade brush, manufactured by blending up-to-date technology with traditionally crafted skills. This is an excellent soft haired brush made from select grade, super soft, pure squirrel hair. It has a smaller handle and thicker brush head than our Squirrel Haired Brush.

Camel Hair Brush

Small soft haired brush ideal for cleaning up marks when they have been over powdered. (Often referred as the 'Brushing Out' technique). It is ideal for use with powders such as Stickyside powder, Wetwop Black and Wetwop White when painting onto the backs of adhesive tapes.

Maribou Feather Brush

Traditionally styled brush with fluffy Maribou head. This applicator is recommended for dusting with Fluorescent Powders where a progressive buildup of powder is required.

Squirrel Hair (Zephyr) Brush

This custom made deluxe brush is styled on the Original Zephyr with its ultra thin handle but the fibreglass filaments have been replaced with super soft squirrel hair. The same twirling technique can be used, and since it's made of animal hair, it is less prone to damage if it gets wet—as long as it is allowed to dry naturally.

Synthetic Brush

Once again based on the Original Zephyr this brush is composed of brown superfine synthetic filling and is often referred to as the Washable Zephyr as it can be cleaned thoroughly with no distortion to the brush.

Composed of an aluminium ferrule, handle and 15mm diameter. Visible length 58mm. 

Zephyr Brush

The Zephyr-style brush, designed exclusively for fingerprinting, is widely used in crime scene investigations. Its shape allows it to pick up and retain fingerprint powder effectively, especially when twirled on flat surfaces.

Each handmade brush consists of thousands of fine glass filaments, with coarse fibers removed for softness, which improves with use. To maintain effectiveness, keep it dry—avoid water, dew, or condensation. It is intended for use with dry powders on dry, non-greasy surfaces.

Magnetic Brush

For use with magnetic powders, the magnetic applicator is the cleanest form of powder application and causes least possible damage to the fragile fingerprint.

Our plastic magnetic fingerprint brush is made of rigid plastic, is spring loaded and has good powder holding capability due to the powerful magnet encased within its structure. Easy to handle, with a thick ridged shaft to improve grip ability.
